MARMALADE SKY
'A Bristol based band with Mod in their hearts.....'
This four piece band are launching their EP 'British Boy' on 23rd April.
From the tracks we heard, we liked the song 'Deserted Youth' which features an acoustic opening, followed by a Who/Kinks riff, around which the song is based. Passionate vocals, power chords a-plenty, I feel the band would benefit from a more sympathetic engineer in the studio, as songs such as 'Rebelling voices' & 'Showmen' are given a swift T-Rex guitar grunge without bringing out the best on the songs. Bet they are great live though.
